Nickname for myself
I'm hoping some of you could help me with a problem. Lately I've been lamenting not having a nickname because my real name is too hard for most people to get right when ordering out, and so I'd like an easy nn I can give for simplicity's sake.My first/middle is Callia Nadette [kuh-LEE-uh NUH-DET]. I've tried using Lia and Lila, but even those encounter problems. So I'd like suggestions for a nickname inspired by either my first or middle, feel free to get as creative as you like.Edit: please no Callie / Calla, just not my thing

Cadet is cute and seems the most natural NN to me.Nadette is a cool MN.

Lena and Ella may be options.

I’d say “Lee” or “Ceecee” if simplicity for ordering out is the goal.

Nice name.If you wanna go by a nickname for Nadette, what about Nadi, Nadia, or Ette? If you wanna go by one for Callia, why not Lina, Clea, Alia, or Ally?

Cal, Nadia, Nana.I‘ve had “Starbucks nicknames” that I thought were very simple but that people still managed to get wrong, FWIW.

The easiest NN for you, I can think off, isLily-everybody knows this popular nameFurthermore you could use Nadia/Nadya/Naddie or Etta.
My fav/prefer for you Lily.

Ally, Ettie, Addie, Cal.Why did Lia not work? It seems really simple and usable.

Though honestly if with Lia and Lila you’ve encountered problems, the same will most likely happen with all of the nns suggested.

I have a cousin with the same name as you, but spelled different, and she mostly goes by her full name. She also goes by Callie (sorry), or just Cal. I'm surprised to hear Lia has problems because that's a very simple name... and, honestly, even basic names like Sara will sometimes be misheard when ordering out or whatever. Hell, give them a fake name if it's that troublesome. When I lived in Miami a lot of the local food places had staff whose first language was something other than English and most of them had a lot of trouble with my name, Tabitha, so I was Cat (as in Tabby Cat) for a lot of deliveries.Other places know me as Talitha or Tanith because they misheard Tabitha. But it's just food delivery so I don't bother correcting because it doesn't matter. Just choose a name you like and use that. Use a different name for each restaurant. Do whatever you want, live your best life, be whoever you want to be lol

Lia often times gets written as Leah and then pronounced like 'Lay-uh'. I know whatever I choose is bound to get butchered at some point but I'd just like something more permanent and identifiable to fall back on.I am toying with the idea of using a fake name (like Anya or Carla), but I kind of have impostor syndrome so it feels a little presumptuous of me to call myself by a name that's not at least somewhat related to my real name. At least then I can say 'well it comes from X part of my name' lol.
