You asked about this really recently. https://www.behindthename.com/bb/baby/5157907Aileen looks awkward and sounds pretty but dated, as does Eileen.Aileen does not sound more modern to me because it's the EEN ending that makes it dated, not the long I sound (Isla feels modern, for example)

I didn't know how it was pronounced back then and am now asking about the Scottish pronunciation which I didn't do before ;)
