Dovie
Came across the name Dovie, for a girl. On a scale of 1-10, how much do you hate it? ;) Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

From a hate scale of 1-10, it recieves a 10 from me. I don't like it at all. It sounds so silly and makes me think of the term, 'Lovey Dovey'
It manages to be worse than the name, Dove.

Hehe. I quite like Dove, but this is too nicknamey for me to land at neutrality. While I don’t think it horrid, it rates a solid “disappointing”.

Hi Billina !!!I rate Dovie with my personal rating. I rate it 2/10. This because it is a nickname plus it has no particular ties with me and I don't know any character or famous bearer with this name.

2 but it would be cute as a nickname for a little girl.

Dovie is the name of my Grandmother who was born around 1895. I don't know for a fact, but it may have been a nickname for Delilah.

On a hate scale of 1 hate a little bit, and 10 hate massively, I guess it would rate a 1. I don’t really even dislike it, much to my surprise. I’d never use it, and wouldn’t even think it’s cute or pretty, but I would be somewhat pleasantly surprised to meet a little girl named Dove with the nn Dovie.
My opinion on this surprised myself. Lol

It doesn't sound like a name to me, more like a thing....I'd group it with other mildly obnoxious names like Stevie, Howie or Dewey. Somehow adding the 'i' makes it sound less feminine to me.

It's not terrible but I don't like it eitherIf John, probably the most boring and inoffensive name possible, sits snugly at 5* and my low-tier names are at 6* while my faves are all 9* or 10*, and stupid ass names like Abcde, Fanny, Salmon and Curry are at 1*Then I think Dovie is around 2* or 3* depending on my mood and whether or not it's a fictional character from like the Edwardian era or something

I don't hate it. 5 or 6, if 1-2 is hate and 9-10 is love.I'd prefer Dove. Or I'd prefer it as a nickname. I used to really like the name Doveva. It reminds me of Queenie, which I'm kind of fond of.

I don't.Dovie reminds me of a woman born in the 1920s, probably working class, perhaps black. It's a like Maida, Opal, Pearl. If I met a young one I'd assume she was named after someone.

This Dovie was a white woman, born in the early 20th century. Sister of a serial killer.
