I dislike strongly Sloane - it reminds me of the words slow and sloth - and I don't think Sloane Miriam work well together - the n and m clash.

I like it for some reason. I think it needs to go with a frilly sounding name. Sloane Mirabella?

Thoroughly unattractive-sounding. If it is a family surname, then using it as a mn would keep the tradition alive while not jumping on the lnfn-unisex bandwagon.

There was a girl named Sloane in my high school class. As she was in my class, she would have been born no earlier than 1959 and no later than 1961, so this was long before the surnames on girls craze.

I remember being taken aback by her name. There were a few other girls in my class who had names that weren't very popular when we were born, such as Celeste, Helen, Bernadette, and Mimi, but Sloane was different in a different way. Not in a "You don't hear that much anymore" way. It was a "WTF" way.

Sorry, but I consider Sloane to be one of the ugliest names for a girl I've ever come across. The "Sl" sound at the beginning is particularly off putting.

I really like Miriam, but the combo is kind of mismatched and awkward.

I dislike Sloane. I think the sound is unpleasant - reminds me of toad - and it also sounds pretentious in a way I dislike. Miriam is lovely.

Sloane is one of the few unisex names that I actually like for a girl.
