Australian Newspaper Names- Gold Coast
Some of you might remember that last year I posted a MASSIVE list of names from the newspaper of children starting school in Ipswich, Australia (our school year starts in January/February). Well, I'm going to do that again soon, but first, this was my warm-up.I've since moved to the Gold Coast and so this year I have 2 newspapers with listings of children starting school in 2019. Even though the Gold Coast is a bigger area than Ipswich, less schools have participated and so this is a smaller list (hence “warm-up”).I tallied the names of all children from the 18 participating schools, I counted different spellings but, for simplicity, didn't include them here. These children are all 5 or turning 5 before the end of June. The most common names were:Ava- 14 children
