I have always had an irrational hatred of Betsy. Even when I was a kid I hated the name. No idea why. The only other name I hate as much is Whitney and I have no idea why I dislike Whitney so much either. Edith is just meh to me.

I think I like Betsy for a very specific reason: growing up, the local library "adopted" a manatee named Betsy and had her pictures everywhere, so I associate the name with an adorable animal. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't think much of it.

I normally don't get too upset with names. If I don't like a name I'm normally just meh about it.

But Betsy and Whitney just annoy me.
