Thelma
Thelma has languished on the periphery of my name thoughts for years, but it's finally stolen the spotlight, and I'm really charmed by it. I'm a sucker for "-elm" in names (e.g. Anselm, Zelma, Elmo), and for me, Thelma evokes both a gum-smacking side-heroine in classic MGM films (perhaps inspired by Thelma Ritter) and a benevolent librarian/bibliophile, which amplifies its appeal.
