Yes, I think so! Susan is a recent name love of mine and the dimutive of "susie" is ADORABLE! However, I have a feeling that Susan will end up leaving the 2016 charts. Either that or keep decreasing. It will probably be a while before Susan makes a dramatic comeback. The only downside to the name for me is the "Sue" sound. Sue is just so...unnapealing.
I really like the combination of Lydia Susan (A name I would highly consider using for a daughter with Lydia set in stone) but then again, the "Sue" part would probably tear myself away from using it. \: oh well

Lydia and Susan match each other very well. I picture the same sort of person for both in personality. Although in appearance Lydia is a brunette and Susan is light haired -which includes shades of lighter brown or red, not just blonde.
I don't feel that a Susan will ever automatically become Sue. Even if it did Susan in the middle especially won't become Sue. So I feel you can use Lydia Susan without fear.
