Is it sad that I want to move to England just because they have amazing names. At least that way I could hopefully have future son and daughter-in-laws with normal names and not things like Jaxxsyn and Maticynn.

I really hate Horatio. All I hear is "whore ratio".My favorites:
Alexandra and Victoria (really not fond of Cosima, though)
Susannah Catriona Emily
Allegra Winter
Sophia Caroline
Ava Mirabelle (and Mary, but not with Mirabelle)
Cecily Alexandra
Iris Miriam Tova --This is gorgeous!
Xanthe Rose
Tara Alexandra and Isla
Alexander, Anna, Maria, and Ekaterina
William James and Emily(edit: half my post got cut off for some reason...?)

I hear "whore" with Horace but not with Horatio...I'm pretty sure Horatio is actually supposed to be pronounced "Her-ratio" or possibly even "Huh-ratio."

Yep, I pronounce it "Huh-ratio"

Seeing a Horatio made my day!Horatio is my all-time favorite name...and I mean that. I was about 4 when I first heard it. I get very happy when I see that people are using it! :) I don't know why Horace is still more common. Some of the other names on this list are awesome too though. Ptolemy Douglas Austin?! Ludovic Henry Nicholas Raphael? Epaminondas George? Lavinia Anne Philippa Fox? Cosima Caroline Heather? Wulfstan? Cleopatra? I've just gone squee. On a more serious note, why are there two Tarkas, and where does that name come from? Also, why are there so many children with three middle names? I didn't think it was common to have any more than two.

I think Horatio is much better than Horace :)Tarka is the name of an otter from a children's book: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarka_the_Otter This is the first time I've actually heard the name on humans, though! These BAs are from the upper-middle / upper classes in the UK and they tend to use two or even three middle names - not sure why, maybe they're copying royalty or something!

Well, I'm used to seeing two middle names - we all know that's becoming more common in the U.S. If they're beginning to adopt three middle names it could possibly be (as you said) copying royalty or trying to thwart Americans from copying the Brits. Heck, if I ever have kids I'm planning to give them two middle names. Part of that is because I like the British practice, but part of that is also desiring to resurrect a 19th century family naming convention. Even today it's not unheard of for a cousin or two in my family to have more than one middle name.
That's interesting about Tarka. For some reason I thought it might be a variation on Tarkan.
And yes, I can't reiterate as often as I'd like how much I hate Horace. Horatio is bad*ss though, and I really like Horatio Hornblower and hope to one day finish both the A&E and book series.
