Gilbert as in Gilbert Blythe? Great choice. I love the name Gilbert with the cool nn Gil.Josephine for Jo March is awesome. She was such a great character in American literature. Love it. My mother used to want to have four girls and name them Meg, Jo, Beth & Amy. (Although, I don't like the nn Josie because I think of Josie Pye, also from Anne of Green Gables).Laura and Almanzo also. Just don't call him Manly!
Lottie is cute.Dicken sounds awkward, since his last name was Dickens. I think Dickens could be a cool mn to honor that author but wouldn't use it as a first name. (Also, his friends might give him the nn of Dick).
