Re: The crazy names of celebrity kids
in reply to a message by Rachel Shaina
I'm totally naming my daughter Sophia Vampirehunter. And her twin (invariably in my family) will be Haven Fireswallower.
I agree with pretty much all of this (and I don't think I ever thought of Haven on a boy but I kinda like it now), except I don't like Blue Ivy. It makes me think of the ivy plant but an ugly shade of blue that is sticky and smells bad. I don't know why. But agree 100% with everything else.

I don't care for Blue Ivy either but I also don't see anything wrong with it. I was actually hoping for something more original from them, Blue's been used several times by other celebrities before them.
Indigo would have been better than Blue.
Beyonce named Blue Ivy after her favorite color and his favorite number.
Does having personal meaning make it less "crazy" than some of the names you listed in the original post?
I'm just wondering.

I still think it sounds stupid. And that criteria wouldn't be enough to name my daughter that. The imagery is so so bad in my head. But personal choices are just that, personal.
Yeah, it just sounds like something an eighth grader would name her kid. Meaningful, sure, but still dumb.
