This is one of my favorite names, particularly for a boy. I struggle with whether it is usable in the U.S. I love the french pronunciation. While the English pronunciation still has a lovely meaning, it is imo not as charming of a sound/flow.
I quite like Oceana (oh-SEY-ah-na or oh-SHEN-ah, the first pronunciation came to mind though). Oceane... oh-SAY-en. That would be if I saw them without any knowledge of origin. I think the name of Forest's son is very nice; I like the tradition going on.
