I've come across men, mainly Irish, called Patsy or Patty for Patrick.

I've always loved Abby as a nickname for Ab- names, or Aggie (I suppose Aggy would look more masculine) for Aug- names. I also like Ani (Anakin's fault, yes), Christy (Christopher), and Rosy (Ambrose).I knew a guy who went by Hallie. It's short for Haraldur.

Oh I can't believe I forgot Josie! I've always loved the idea of Josie as a nn for Josiah - has always seemed very "Outlaw" to me :)

They might have spelt it Josey in the film. I like it too.:)

They did :) I'm not opposed to that spelling either - Josie just seems the most intuitive for Josiah

Ooo I really like the idea of Peg as a NN for Peregrine! I prefer Tory on a boy and I've also always like the idea of Ali as a nn for Alistair (or Alaric) and Addy/Atty as a nn for Addison/Atticus. Cassie is nice too thought I still prefer just Cass or Cash as a nn for CassiusThere's alsoMandy - Armand / Armando, Mandel (Mandy Patinkin pulls it off)
Liv - Oliver
Pip - Philip (though Pip isn't so inherently feminine)
Lory, Laurie - Loren / Lorenzo, Laurence
Bertie - Robert
Polly - Pollux
Tammy - Rostam
Carly - Carl
Mary - Marius
Dory - Theodore

My absolute favorite is Laurie as a nickname for Laurence. Swoon! I'm also charmed by Christy for Christopher and Abby for Albert.
