For the longest time I found the name Blanche unattractive (as do most people, I suspect), but then I saw the movie Drive a few days ago, and there's a beautiful young woman in it with that name. That got be thinking about other beautiful fictional women with the same name, like Blanche Ingram from "Jane Eyre" and Blanche DuBois from "A Streetcar Named Desire". Now I'm starting to see Blanche as an incredibly classy, elegant name for a modern, sophisticated, lovely woman. So WDYT? Anyone else like Blanche?
