I love Aubrey, but only for a boy. There are so many choices for parents of little girls. I don't understand why they keep pinching traditional boy names. If it went in both directions I wouldn't mind so much. But it's a one way street and it bothers me. Alberic and Auberon are great too.I do love Audrey for a girl. Unfortunately, there will be a lot of confusion between Audrey, Aubrey, Aubree, Aubrie, Aubreigh, Ahbreey and any other weird spelling parents think is "unique." Sorry to be such a downer. But these trends are pet peeves of mine.

The use of names changes over time. Julian and Christian were popular girls names in the middle ages. It doesn't bother me at all, I think it's better suited on a girl.

I agree with Bear. Aubrey is one of my favorites for a boy only. I hate how we are losing more and more traditionally boy names to the girls. :(
