According to this site...
Eitan/ Eytan is Hebrew and Ethan is the Anglicized version. But still, the most likely spelling in Italian would be Eitan. My husband is Italian and doesn't think this is a name that is considered exclusively Italian, although he is from Southern Italy so usage could be more common in the north?
