Indiana
What do you all think of the name Indiana for a boy? With Indiana Jones, do you think it's too much for child to bear?

Everyone will groan at me for saying this, and I know I am a minority here, so you may want to ignore me, but Indiana is my favourite girls name. I know there's Indiana Jones, but I've never seen it so I don't have the association. I would never use it for a boy. It honestly sounds so feminine to me. I mean it ends in ANNA, quite feminine to me. I wouldnt' care if the Hulk's name was Indiana, it still sounds girly to me.

I don't mind the name, though I wouldn't use it myself. I think it's definitely usable and the Indiana Jones thing is not a big deal to me. It's a bit trendy though.

Yes it is. Plus, I think it's wrong for boys' names to end in -ana.

I adore Indiana and for a boy only. And I like it because of Indiana Jones. He's someone I wouldn't mind sharing names with if I were a boy.

I guess it's probably the -ana ending that makes this one all girl for me - Indiana Jones or not.

As long as his last name isn't Jones, I think it would be fine. :)

- Too much with Indiana Jones
- kinda silly for a name
- too feminine (other than Indiana Jones)

Interesting, I actually think it sounds way more masculine. Mostly because of Indiana Jones, I'm sure. Plus I think I generally feel that way about place names, too.

Well I've meet one girl named Indy Anna (really cheezy) but it ends in ana so to me it's like Savannah, Briana, Diana, Hannah and names like that.

I think it's too much because of Indiana Jones and because it's a state. I think it's a pretty silly name for anyone.
