I don't relaly like either. They both give off a poorly-conceived-fantasy-novel vibe to me. While I'd be more than willing to name children after book characters, that's not an angle I'm interested in exploring! :D
I would pronunce
Rayen first as RAY-yen, and then as RAH-yen (which turns into RYE-yen in my accent--rather like
Ryan). On first sight, I would say
Nerys as NAIR-ihs.
