Kelly are exactly the sort of twinny / matchy names that do not appeal to me at all. I love the name
Catherine, but next to
Kelly it doesn't flow well. If you are using
Catherine to honor someone then of course that is the most important factor. If not, I'd start with looking for another mn for
Kelly. Then I'd turn to finding an entirely different fn than
Keely for her sister. Just imagine two individuals under one roof whose names differ only in one vowel sound. Year, after year, after year.
How about giving one twin your name,
Mary, or a variation of it?
