Today I will stray from the norm..
typically I would throw out my two standby names, John Paul Gideon & Eleanor Mary Cecilia
However, I feel like mixing it up a bit today:
Elio Cedric & Beatrice Miriam Sonia
I was deciding between Elio and Elliott, but Elliott has been a long-time favorite, and Elio seemed too contrived as a nickname for Elliott, no matter how much I want to make it work.

5 months ago I named my angels
Dominic Stephen (Stephen to honor my DH's grandfather) and Rosalie Ava. Of course I wouldn't change them now, but lately I've been wishing I held out for Benjamin more, but my DH didn't like it.
If I had to change them (and my DH didn't have a say) I'd probably use
Benjamin Stephen and Amelia Rosalie (just off the top of my head)

Simon Erasmus and Amadea Mariel
... Although I would also be tempted to name the girl Daphne Susanna.
The reference to Christian figures in the mns (Mary, St. Erasmus, the scholar Erasmus) and water (Stella Maris; St. Erasmus as the patron saint of sailors) in the middle names is intensional. My husband I live few feet from water and are aspiring sailors ... We'd like to live on a boat and travel with any future children. So the ocean is a big part of our lives.
The alternate name, Daphne Susanna, would be a way for me to use a favorite first name and to honor my mother and mother-in-law Suzanne and Susan.

Simon Erasmus is very smart sounding.
Amadea Mariel sounds quite flighty in comparison. I think I'd quite like the name Daphne Maris, so you get a favourite in with the nice water reference, keeping the Biblical aspect too.

It is interesting that you find Amadea Mariel flighty. I'll have to see if it strikes other people that way. If so, then I'd probably want to change it.

I think it's the long As in the combo. It seems very now, as in Layla and Kayla and other long A names are popular. Nothing is inherently wrong with it, it just seems very different to sturdious Simon.

Ah, that makes sense. I tend to like names to be a little bit 'grounded,' and I haven't entirely been sold on this combo & haven't been able to put my finger on why. Maybe that's the reason.
Maybe I need something to counter balance the heavy use of As in Amadea. My first ideas was Daphne Amadea, which accomplishes that goal. My husband likes Amadea first however ....

Amd James Theodore is a very handsome and friendly combo! Two of my favorite boy's names, too. I also like Liv Marguerite, but it's a little dark and edgy which I don't think goes with the nice solid traditional James Theodore.
