Re: Wow.

I don't recall saying that you stated that it is nearly a crime (I remember saying "almost everyone" and "acting like"). About the punishment: Exaggeration is a rhetorical device.
And my "why" question was probably just as rhetorical as yours. I have read your comment and I understand perfectly well that Hannah & Anna do not make great twin names but you did not comment on those but on names that are pretty different from each other apart from having the same initial (Maya and Michelle for example.) Plus you seemed to despise naming twins any different from naming usual siblings in general ("Just name them like you would any other two children you would have"). It is extremely irritating when a poster commands others to never ever use paired names on twins but then claims to just have given an opinion. I did not read ONE "I think", "I would" or "in my opinion" in your comment.

You may have been exaggerating, but it did not properly capture the true spirit of our comments, which is why I took offense and responded in the first place. Not to "pick a fight." And yes, I do despise the practice of naming twins cutesy matched set twin names. I don't despise their parents or the twins. So... not sure why that's relevant or how that somehow suggests that I am a name Nazi. A lot of people absolutely hate a lot of specific names (Nevaeh, anyone?), and again, that is just their opinions and doesn't mean that they are going to bash or trash parents of Nevaehs in real life. And I was under the impression that one need not qualify a statement as an opinion since this is an opinions board. Duh -- opinion board = opinions! More often than not, people cite when something is actually a fact.I read your pre-edited post above this and was not going to bother to respond, but it seems the more you edit it, the ruder you are getting. So I am done with you now.+ Last thing -- re: Maya and Michelle. No, I did not comment on those two names. Those aren't actually THAT bad. I commented on the act of asking what special names twins should have.

Off-topicOk, first of all, I was actually editing to make my point without being rude. If you read the final version of my post and still consider it rude, I'm sorry for that, I don't.Now something very off-topic but important to me: Please do not use the word Nazi so inconsiderately. Before you take this as being rude again: I'm not trying to offend you but uttering a request.

Sorry about "Nazi". Just as you exaggerated about my opinion, I did that to you. I was not being inconsiderate, but you acted as though I were trying to force my opinion as the only right one (which is untrue)... so you can see how I got that comparison.Truce/PM
