WDYT of Cedric?
I love the name Cedric. Probably because of Harry Potter, although I heard the name was invented by Sir Walter Scott for his book Ivanhoe. WDYT?
Any combos besides Cedric James?

That kind of defeats the purpose, but okay.
I really like Cedric Alastor and Cedric Albus.
I'd like Cedric Edward, but one, I don't think that flows well, and too, I plan on using Edward as a first name, with the middle name being something like Charles or Francis.

Thanks. I like...
Cedric Alexander
Cedric Antoine
Cedric Andrew.I don't like any of the others, though. Where did you get the idea that modern names would flow with Cedric? I'm sorry if I sound condescending, this is supposed to be an innocent question, not meant to insult anyone (just to make that clear, I don't want to be yelled at). Also some of these sound too feminine...like Erin, Trinity (which is okay for a girl), etc. Then there's Sedrick, which is just a variant spelling of Cedric.

I love Cedric! How does Cedric Atticus sound?

I like that. Probably wouldn't use that combo, but it's absolutely mellifluous!

Cedric James flows nicely but I don't really care for Cedric at all. Ditto for Cyril and Cecil. Funny though, I love Cyrus. If you wanted your ds' name to stand apart from the norm, however, Cedric would.

My landlord is Cedric!

I like it a lot. More now because of Harry Potter as well. I also like Cerdic, from Arthurian legend, though that one would have lots of teasing potential in the U.S. Combos escape me at the moment, sorry.

Oh yeah. People in the U.S. are so mean and pretentious. Especially where I live. I think that if I ever have kids I'll just use English naming styles and then make the excuse that I had the kids in England just to cut them some slack.
