I work with a Miranda in her late 20s.

So it's not odd. She's far from what I expected of one, though - I always thought of someone quiet, pretty and slightly exotic but she's pretty down to earth and not that pretty. She's cool, though.
I used to adore it but lately I've been pretty meh on it, probably because it lost its' exotic flair when I met one - which is odd. My niece is Miranda but she's never called anything BUT Mira, so I suppose I never thought of her as one.

Jessica just reminded me...
I knew of another Miranda as well, also in her late 20s. I took her job from her and was not that impressed with her.
Interesting - both of Mirandas I've known have had bad acne scars and long dark hair (that's where the similarities end, though. The DC Miranda was a spoiled brat with an attitude, the one I work with is a really nice if slightly lazy young lady.)
