I completely agree with this. I'm also a twin and I know that when growing up twins will always be seen as a set rather than individuals. You would be doing your twins a favour by not giving them matching names because not having matching names won't make you less of a twin.
ETA: I'm not against subtle name themes at all. It's just that I can't stand twin names like Sophia and Sophie, Jake and Jack etc
There are more sophisticated ways to create a theme or relate names which I think you are trying to do. Ignatius Carlisle and Blaise Donovan are great names for twins.

Ignatius Carlisle and Blaise Donovan are great names for twins.Thanks. I know Isla and Iona are too close for comfort, but they are more about honoring my heritage (they are Scottish islands). I admit that I came up with Isla Primrose first, and went hunting for a twin that "matched".Ignatius and Blaise just... happened.I see what you guys are saying.
