I like Alys quite a bit. I have a character named it. Having trouble actually thinking about combos today though, so I can't really comment on your list sorry.
To be honest, I think it's a terrible misspelling of the beautiful classic Alice. I love Alice but I can't stand Alys or Alyse. The Y just destroys the name and without the final E it's just missing something.
I'm not a fan of the first name and middle name starting with the same letter so even though I love Amabel and Amandine and like Aurélie, I wouldn't pair them with Alice.
Alice Cordelia, Alice Delphine, Alice Dorothy, Alice Vivienne, Alice Theodora, Alice Rosemary, Alice Philippa, Alice Octavia, Alice Mathilde, Alice Matilda, Alice Marguerite, Alice Leonora, Alice Lavinia, Alice Georgiana, Alice Emmeline and Alice Ermengarde are all absolutely awesome! I love them. I think my favorite is Alice Octavia but I really like them all the same they are all nice.
I also like pairing Alice with virtue names. I really like Alice Remember, Alice Remembrance and Alice True or Alice Truth.

I don't think so. I think it looks trendy. Maybe that's just me but I think it's as bad as Jessyka. I've never known or heard of anyone named Alys so it is just some creative spelling of Alice to me and I don't think of it as an estalished variant at all. Elisabeth, Allison, Sofia and Hanna are established variants but not Alys.
What about the following historical figures?

Of course there were some girls named Alys in the past, even in the Middle Ages which doesn't change the fact that it looks misspelled to me. I mean yeah it has some history but even 400 years back there were people who couldn't spell (even more than now, I guess) or parents who were just being creative so it doesn't really mean anything,
It's the Welsh form, Lily. And I always think of Alys Pearsall Smith.
I think Alyssa is trendy (for Alicia) but not necessarily Alys for Alice.

I love this name spelled Alice, but dislike Alys. I just don't find the look of it appealing.

I like this version of Alice. It was sometimes used in the Middle Ages, so has authenticity. Bertrand Russell's American wife was called Alys, which is how I first encountered this spelling, and I've liked it ever since.
Alice makes me think "woodlice". Alys is prettier.
I love:
Alys Delphine
Alys Lavinia

I agree when I see Alice, all I see is "a lice" as in lice bugs that live in hair
