I like:
Lucia Antonia
Layla Grace
Jessica Florence
Carla Margaret
Morven Alexandra
Scarlett Elaine
Rory Matthew
Gregor Alan
Ross David Scott
Rocco James
Kyle Iain Alexander
Gregor Alexander BruceSome of them I find a bit odd though.Cairn on a boy? I've only ever heard this name twice, both times on girls so I guess I just think of it as a girls name.
Mirrin makes me think of Braveheart.
Livvy I see as a nickname rather than first name.
Talon... well... there are no words.

Cairn on a girl? I've never heard that, but it must be different up north. I see a name meaning essentially pile of stones as pretty masculine. Actually poor Cairn Campbell he's pile-of-stones crooked-mouth! I've seen quite a few Mirrens recently. I was thinking the spelling Mirrin might be a football fan honouring St Mirrin?!

Haha wouldn't surprise me, my dad called me Caley after Caley Thistle... Not that I'm too bothered but still!

i'm surprisedthat they are so similar to English kind of BA's. I was expecting more real true scottish names, never the less some of them are charming :)Christina Elizabeth Janet (Morgan + Natalie) -nice to see Christina revived! the Janet is too much though.
Stella Elizabeth (Archie) -sibset goes really good together.
Lucia Antonia -absolutely love this depending on how they pronounce Lucia.
Morven Alexandra (Logan) -what the hell is Morven? its awful. I could see it on a male in like a Harry Potter type series... but not a female :(
Emmeline is gorgeous :)Luis William -Louis William would be nicer but this is best boys combo so far.. the rest are not really my style.
wow they like their Alexanders!!

The only Morven I know is male. He is about 40 and is of course Scottish. I like it on a boy but it's too masculine sounding for a girl. Very much like Morgan IMO.

yeah as Caledonia said, Morven isn't entirely unknown here. There was a book called Morvern Callar by Allan Warner I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it's popularity as a girls name. Morvern is actually the spelling of the real placename, Morven was the name of the mythical Gaelic kingdom in the Ossian poems. Why it was decided it's a girls name I don't know. Personally I don't like it either, especially since it means 'big gap' it sounds like an insult to the persons intelligence! You do see more Scottish names in the boys selection than the girls like Rory, Roderick, Gregor, Blair, Iain, Archie, Kyle, Hamish, Angus... It's something I've noticed people tend to be more traditional naming boys than girls. In the Scottish lists of all the names used in 2007 the boys list ends about a page before the girls.

Morven is a place in Scotland, and I know a lot of Morvens (all female) so I guess its quite a popular name up here
:-)

OTAll the Morven's I know are female too.So nice to see another Invernesian on the boards! I'm moved to Dundee but would move home again in a second. My cousin was almost called Caley too because my uncle is a massive ICT fan. Another cousin was nearly Caledonia, but they thought it would be too much of a mouthful.
