I've always thought it kind of an ugly name, but Ethel's worse.

I love this name, though I prefer the spelling of Edyth. I think it looks softer and more contemporary, it reminds me of the name Blythe. Edie is adorable.

I love the name Edith nn Edie, it's so pretty. I'd prefer to see it on a baby/little girl than a kitten though.

I love this name, but everyone thinks of it as an old ladies name. I love it anyway.

Edith Poppy popped into my head;) I don't care for Poppy but it seems to work with the more serious Edith.

I love Edith, and nn Edie takes it from teetering on antique and makes it fresh and young! Awesome choice. One of my favorites :)

I like Edith and the nn Edie.

It'^s been growing on me too recently. Did could work as a surname. As kittens go, I don't like "human" names for animals, unless they're really out-there ones like Mehitabel and Azazel.

Edith is absolutely beautiful. I like Edie a lot, but to be honest would probably use the full name most of the time, because Edith is just to lovely to say.

I love it as well but I fear it might become the next Ella or Evelyn. More and more people seem to fall in love with it. It's a lovely name, pretty and feminine and yeah, Edie makes for a very sweet nickname. I guess you could call her Dita, Eddie or Dittie but I'm not a fan of either of them.

I love Edith, and the nn Edie is the icing on the cake. :-)
