Re: Corvus / Corvinus?

Corvus / Corvinus give off really morbif vibes to me, and I haven't a clue why. I must admit they would make interesting mns.
Edmond Corvus sounds very regal. Lucien Corvus sounds good too, but the name Lucien sounds a bit slimy to me. I like it fine for someone else.
I prefer the combos Nathaniel Pleasant (he sounds so humble and great) and Simon Veritas :) Handsome boys.
I think Corvus and Corvinus are much subtler than Crow, although the connection is still there. Both have cool sounds, I think it just depends what it's paired with to be honest.

It does sound pretty morbid...
similarity to carve, corpus, the -us, the -or, etc, and besides its a raven.
But I like it for that kind of.

I suppose they might be a little morbid-sounding, but I'm afraid that's not enough to deter me today. ;)
Thanks for your thoughts--I agree on Nathaniel Pleasant and Simon Veritas. Not about to throw those two out, for sure! But Lucien Corvus is really appealing to me, especially since the best I've managed to come up with previously is Lucien Robert. Hmm...Lucien Robert Corvus? :D
