Sunshine & Indiana

WDYT of Sunshine nn Sunny for a girl?
That's what I named my cat. :) "Sunshine" was after the nn of a male character on a tv show I love, but I never call her that. Honestly, I had a cat named Stormy (random name, also I got her during hurricane season) and joked that I wanted an orange cat and I'd name him or her Sunshine/Sunny. So that's what I did. :b It's kind of a GP for me on a person (preferably female) but I like it much better as a nn than a fn, if at all.
I'd probably do something classic and not too unusual as a mn for Indiana. And try to stay away from names of cities in Indiana. ;) But you already knew that. Nothing off the top of my head right now, though, sorry.

I don't like Sunshine at all...sorry. It's just not my style. If you really love the name and want to use it, I would say to put it in the middle name spot.
I personally love babies named after places. I think it's so cute! :)
I think that Indiana Gray sounds nice. It is also an anagram of Gary so you could still honor your father. Some other suggestions:
Indiana Walker
Indiana Jones hehe...i couldn't resist!
Indiana Lee
Indiana Michael
Indiana Taylor

Sunshine nn Sunny is a guilty pleasure of mine. I just think of a happy, bubbly girl who bounces around and makes everyone smile. I do prefer it as a mn though.
The guy I am kind of dating at the moment has a 3 yr old daughter named Aurora Sunshine. He calls her Sunny sometimes, but most of the time she goes by Rory.
WDYT of Aurora Sunshine?
Also, after reading KDen's post, I am only going to say go for Indiana Tobias! It is absolutely adorable and gorgeous! I am thinking of stealing it :p

So, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sunny for a girl, but wouldn't use it because it is too nicknamey for me. I have been on a search for a longer name it could be short for. But I don't like Sunshine. I know a girl named Sunshine, and she's just not my cup of tea so to speak. And she has sisters named Season and Summer. No joke.
As for Indiana, I love it and the nn Indy. Maybe it is because I had a crush on Indiana Jones when I was a child. Who knows. But I feel that any mn you would pair with Indiana would have to have that roguish, carefree air to it. So maybe that's why Charles and Gary don't fit? But I agree with another post: beware names of towns in Indiana! :)
Maybe (I suck at these so forgive me):
Indiana Flynn
Indiana Wyatt
Indiana Garrett
Indiana Tobias
Indiana Blake
I looked at your names and tried to come up with something, but I see you like word names, and anything with a word in the middle would sound like "something" from Indiana, ya know? I could go for Indiana Atreyu, although I don't know how I feel about the a sounds together. HTH!!

I could never deal with Indiana Gary. Why? Gary Indiana, Gary Indiana, that's the town that knew me when! I'm also not that fond of Indiana Charles...maybe:
Indiana George
Indiana Abraham
Indiana Nicholas
Indiana Graham
Or something. As for Sunshine...nmsaa, unless it was a middle name. It's one of those that doesn't pass the Supreme Court Justice test for me.
