Re: So... twins today?
L. told me he wanted to give our kids Greek or Roman names so I'm running with it. I've gone for a constellation theme. There is a healthy smattering of honouring too. I'm pretty proud of myself.DS / DS: Theodore Castor/ Hector Pollux
or Theodore Octavian and Hector Claudius
Either way it is Theo and HectorDD / DD: Alcyone Octavia/ Nephele Cassiopeia
or Alcyone Augusta/ Nephele Astraea
Alcie and EffieDS / DD: Theodore Claudius/ Alcyone Octavia
Edited to add, they should totally be Theodore Apollo and Alcyone Artemis shouldn't they!
Theo and Alcie

I love Theodore Octavian and Nephele Cassiopeia. I love the constellation theme you've got going on there!

Excellent all roundI love pretty much all of those, but the girls' names stand out. Alcyone is a long-term love of mine and Nephele is wonderful too. Nephele Astraea is probably my favourite of those going, but Alcyone Artemis is a stroke of genius as well.

You have some great names. I really like Pollux, Octavian, Octavia, Augusta, Apollo, and Artemis.

Ooooh, great namesI love Theodore Octavian "Theo" and I would totally use Theo myself, but can't with future DD Xanthe. And Alcyone Octavia "Alcie" is gorgeous, as is the name Nephele- another favourite. I think my fav of the Nephele combos is Nephele Astraea.I gota say that Theodore Claudius and Alcyone Octavia "Theo and Alcie" is one of the best boy/girl twin sets I have seen ever.

Wow, thank you! That is really sweet of you. I'm experimenting a bit and it is heartening to get such a good repsonse. :)

Hey, I have to say thanks to you tooI'd never heard of Alcyone before, and it just jumped straight onto my list as my #3 girl's name. Really love it, and its hard for me to find names like that. I've really been struggling with girls names that I love besides Xanthe and Elodie, so thankyou! And I was being honest- I really do think they are fantastic names! So your welcome.

And I have to say you're welcome too!I appreciate the honesty and the thanks. I'm glad you like Alcyone it is so beautiful and has a nice story behind it too. I especially adore it for the nn Alcie which I think honours my sister Alice. It does have a similar feel to Xanthe and Elodie, now that I think about it. :)

I really like all these names from Greek mythology. I think Nephele and Pollux are great names. I also like Octavia and Theodore.

Nice mythical feel.

Theodore is a great name and Effie is quite cute for Nephele. I would vote Octavian over Castor, Octavia over Augusta, and Astraea very narrowly over Cassiopeia. Theodore Apollo and Alcyone Artemis would be very fun.

Heh, Alcie is another anagram of Alice ;)How are you saying Alcyone? The database says al-SIE-uh-nee, but that doesn't seem to fit with nn Alcie. I reserve judgement on the combos until I find out :pI really like Nephele Cassiopeia, it sounds great! Theodore Octavian and Hector Claudius sound good together too.

The possibility of the nn Alcie for my sister Alice is one of the reasons I like Alcyone. I pronounce Alcie al-SEE and Alcyone pretty much the way it is in the database al-SIE-o-nee. I think I can get away with Alcie from that.

Okay, I like it :)Alcyone Octavia is my favourite of your Alcyone combos, even though I don't usually like Octavia. Alcyone Artemis sounds nice, but the first place I saw Artemis was in Artemis Fowl so I have a bit of a problem with it on a girl, despite its history.
