I found that Abella is a town Campagna, Italy. I couldn't find anything for
France or England, but I found Inns with the name Abella in it, in
France and England, so I probably just scrolled right over it. :)
I found a ton of people with Abella as their surname, but I couldn't find any exact information regarding it as a surname. I did find feminine versions of
Abel: Abelia, Abelie, Abella, and Abelle (from
www.christianforum.com). On
www.weddingvendors.com, I found Abela as the Hawaiian form of
Abel, and a variant of Apela. But, those sites probably are not the most reliable.
Hopefully that answered some questions, and didn't make new ones arise! :)
