I like it, it is far prettier than my first name, Rachel.
Which pronunciation do you prefer?
I hate cahr-uh. cair-uh reminds me of carrots. I pronounce it ca-ruh with (using lilbabylaura101's example) the a as is 'big mac'
Do you prefer Cara on it's own or as a nn for Caroline or Carolyn?

Nice combos!
Wow, nice list of combos. I don't like Georgette or Primrose, but, I agree, a longer mn goes great with Cara. I especially like Cara Michelle or Cara Simone. How about Cara Marissa or Cara Danielle?
BTW, I know a wonderful lady named Cara. She has a daughter named Jonwyn (?) and she has a gorgeous singing voice. She's also very talented. She is the first person that comes to mind when I hear the name Cara.
