TEXIS looks like parents wanted to name her Texas but didn't know how to spell it. TEXYS looks like parents wanted to be trendy, the same way my great aunt named her daughters Alexis and London but spelled them Alexys and Londyn. Depends on which "stupid" you're looking for, but I'd go with one of those.
