I like Willa and Mina, but Wilhelm and Wilhelmina sound very uptight to me.

Still widely used where I live, but with the Afrikaans pronunciation of course: VILhelMEENah. It usually shortens to Wilma, which I like better. It is also often used as a full name, not an abbreviation.

I really like it, but I prefer the spelling Willamina with the potential nickname Willa. Or just Mina / just Willa. The “helm” puts me off I guess.
