Not one Tarka William, but two! Remarkable indeed. Is there a reason for it - sudden outbreak of fondness for otters, maybe? Or just the kind of thing that a random universe might be expected to confuse us with now and then?

Random universe combined with the fact that Tarka is my number 1 guilty pleasure, so I probably put it into the search engine when going through the birth announcements last year. If I lived in the UK I’d definitely use it, Sebastian Tarka and Gabriel Tarka both sound good to me.
I just checked and there were 3 Trakas born in England and Wales in 2010. I wonder how it will fare in 2014 lists. I’ve also seen it as a nickname for Tarquin.
