I really like Amanda. I know it's been overused in the 80s but it still sounds fresh to me, probably because most of the Amandas I knew always went by Mandy. I dislike Mandy, but I like Amy as a nickname for it. I also love the meaning. I like Amandine as well. What do you think of Amanda and Amandine? Does Amy work? Is Mandy avoidable? (I know I can't do anything if she decides to go by it, but with Mandy sounding so dated I doubt that she would).
