I'm from the UK originally but I've lived in Germany for a couple of years now. I don't think it would be frowned upon exactly, but it would be a little strange and confusing for some people who don't know that it's a name in English speaking countries- although a lot of people here who are younger and more celebrity-influenced will probably have heard of Jude Law etc and therefore won't really have a big problem with it.

I think if said child just came to Germany for a visit or a short vacation it would be fine, but I wouldn't use it for a child who would grow up here or live here for a significant amount of time.
