Since no one has done one of these in a while and everyone seems to enjoy them, I decided to do one. Just your basic royal congrats with one twist: all kingdoms are part of the same world. If you want you can refer to the other kingdoms in your stories, get together with another player and work on connections between your kingdoms, or even (in later rounds) marry children to one another. For this game there will be naming rules, with some free-choice rounds sprinkled in. I will provide prompts, and stories are greatly encouraged and appreciated.
For the Sign-Up, you must decide on title [King/Queen, Emperor/Empress, Duke/Duchess, etc.] and government system [kingdom (or queendom), empire, duchy (a la Renaissance Italy), city-state, etc.]. Ruling women are absolutely allowed, as are same-sex couples in all but the official ruling couple (sorry, the need for an heir of royal blood and all that). However, mistresses and lovers will be allowed, with the degree of openness about them to suit your taste. Also, feel free to tell more about your kingdom, from describing the landscape and economy to a bit of the history: make it as detailed as you want. Give a sense of what your kingdom (or what have you) is like: is it war-like or peaceful, prosperous or poor, a world power or relatively unimportant, etc.
Rules:
1. I won't drop anyone for missing rounds this game, but it will be fairly fast-paced, so keeping up is important. If you do miss, all previous rounds must be made up at the current round.
2. Each person must have at least two middle names.
3. Ages are required, and I'll keep an example above the families so you can be sure I haven't made any mistakes when I age your families.
4. If you mention another kingdom in any important way (visit or negotiations important at least) in your story for the round, please be sure to put ATTN: that-player's-username in your subject heading so they can respond accordingly if they want.
5. Have fun, and any questions just ask!
