The Maud Stephanie reference is difficult.
Matilda (sometimes called Maud) and her cousin Stephen vied for the English throne one generation after William the Conqueror (1066). Puting the warring cousins together was just a bad joke on my part.
I never knew there was a real Princess Stephanie. You're knowledge is more detailed than mine. Fun!

Wow, I never thought of Matilda and Stephen! It wasn't a bad joke at all. :) It's quite funny now that I've figured out the Maud Stephanie reference. :) I'm going to have to do a bit of research to catch up.
As for the other Stephanie who married William of Burgundy, she also had a daughter named Maud. I thought she was the one to whom you were referring. But I'm quite tickled that you referenced the warring cousins, lol. I learn something new every day.
