Silvester is terrific. It's one of those buried treasures that, when you meet one, makes you reasses the name entirely. If I ever met a Silvester it would likely become a favorite name. I don't know why that's true. I just know it is.

I confess I'm already having a fling with Silvester's feminine counter-part, Silvestra. There's an English actress, Sylvestra LeTouzel. Her name makes me "squee!" when I see it in credits.
