I much prefer the altogether
Annemarie. It seems more poetic than
Anne Marie or Anne-Marie.
I also occasionally consider
Annemarie (as well as
Anna Maria) as a way to try to honour a
Mary Anne and a
Mariana together in one go while still giving a child their own name.
Annemarie Frances Roland is gorgeous beyond compare. So gentle and wistful-sounding and looking. It makes me think of a lady novelist or poet that writes gently but bravely, like
Emily Dickinson. There is such a delicate faded beauty about it.
