Help[Games] Array's Dream Family Congrats: The One
In this first round, your character has met The One. I've given you each a (very short) description of said character's dream SO--it's your job to explain who this person is, how your character met them, and how the two of them managed to get together. Are they getting married? Moving in together? Your SO's sex hasn't been specified--it's all up to you.
In the next round, we'll be working on the children thing.

Les met five foot nine, blue-eyed, with long, wavy brown hair, Nicolette Marissa Bryce, his beloved Nico, when he was picking up a drunk friend from a party. Nicolette was attatched to his friend's arm, determined to have her way with him, so Les brought her to their apartment too. The next morning she woke up on their couch with no idea how she got there. She was very resentful of Les, and stormed out of the apartment.
About three months later, Les got mugged getting off of the sub-way. He happened to run into Nicolette, who convinced him that he should get to a hospital, and waited with him while he was in the ER. After that, Les asked Nicolette out to dinner, to make it up to her. Nicolette decided okay, but told him not to get any ideas, because he was too short for her.
At dinner they got to know each other. Nicolette told Les about how she had stopped partying. LEs told Nicolette about his sister. Nicolette told him that he had issues, and she didn't like guys with issues. Les pointed out that everyone has issues. Nicolette told him to go to hell. She got up an left, but in her haste forgot her purse.
Les brought it home and found a cell phone inside. He called the number labeled "Home" only to find himself in a conversation with Nicolette's parents, Jack and Diane. He left his number with them. The next day Nicolette called and asked him to meet her so that she could get her purse back. When they met, Nicolette asked Les to come with her to dinner with her parents the next week. It would be a huge favor to her, she said. Her parents liked Les after their phone conversation. If they thought she was dating Les, they would sotp bugging her, and she would be free to date her one again off again boyfriend, Tim Coltrane, a bassist in a punk rock band called Rasputin.
Les told her to go to hell, and said her boyfriend had a rediculous band name. Nicolette offered to pay him ne hundred dollars. Always eager for more money, Les agreed.
So, it became a routine. Every Sunday, Les and Nicolette would have dinner at her parents' house. She would pay him. However, as the weeks went on, it became less and less about the money, and more about the conversations they had on the car, at the dinner table. Les had fallen for Nicolette. One night, he told her. She called him a bastard and said he'd ruined everything. She told him that it was all over, and that he could go the hell. Again.

Liam, at the time, was a law student working as doorman at his parent's apartment building on the side. Liam helped Kiersten pick up her things, and every day since then, they would say hello to each other. Finally, one day Liam got the courage to ask Kiersten out on a date. She said yes, of course, and it was then, after that first date, when they hit it off. About a year into the relationship they moved in with each other and they've been seeing each other for 2 years before Liam popped the question. They will be getting married next December!

Tabby: Tabby accidently bumped into someone, and fell over as she was entering to see a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture show. This person helped her up and as she looked up she saw the image of Frank. Their eyes met, and Tabby knew that she would love this man. They sat together during the showing, and after went for drinks. Tabby found out that the mans name was Shane. After 3 months Tabby & Shane moved in together, and after 6 months they were engaged.

Dreamer22: Lyric Jaide met her dream man when she accidently dropped a pineapple on his head. Hayden Michael Wallace is an investment banker. He is tall dark and handsome of course! He lives in a small apartment just on the other side of town and as the relationship starts to get more serious he suggests that they start looking for a bigger house so that they can start a family!

Elisabeth met her dream husband, Nathan Presley Silva, when he traveled to Los Angeles to audition for the role of Elvis Presley in a television movie. He's quite the Elvis impersonator and lives in Las Vegas. They dated for nearly a year, are now engaged, and will be married on September 30th. They've decided to make their home in Los Angeles, as both would like to pursue active careers in acting and performing. They are looking forward to their lives together.

Sophia de Lorenzo met Stratton Marius Matthewson when he was an associate lawyer for one of her PR clients. Said client ended up getting themselves in a bit of trouble and so Stratton and Sophia ended up spending a lot of time together trying to work out a strategy to get this celebrity of the hook.
Once that particular drama was over Sophia and Stratton continued to see each other socially as they had become friends. After a few months of friendship they finally gave into their feelings and became a couple. After dating for a year Stratton and Sophia moved in together. They have now been together for two and half years and recently became engaged. They plan to marry next year on Valentines Day.

Your first character: Adelaide Lauren Tailler
Appearance: About 5'3", very long, wavy purple hair streaked through with bleach blonde (dyed, of course) and hazel eyes. Very pale-skinned and thin. Has both of her ears pierced multiple times and also has her left eyebrow pierced. She has glasses but doesn't wear them as often as she should.
Life thus far: Currently living on-campus at an arts school, where she's almost completely her Bachelor's Degree in music perfomance (jazz saxophone being her preferred style). She's the oldest of five kids, all of which have some kind of creative talent, be it art, music, or otherwise. The rest of her family is on the other side of the country - all except her younger sister, who is attending the same college for art. When not practicing her music, Adelaide works at a small cafe not far from the college. The quiet, calm cafe is her favorite hang-out spot when she needs to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Eleanor Liadan Maguire
One day Eleanor was walking the shores of her favorite beach back in Australia. Its a rather secluded place and she decided to go for a swim and then sit up in one of the caves and read her book.
After a lovely swim, Eleanor sat down to read her book. After a little while she heard some splashing and coughing. A man was struggling in the sea! She raced out and saved the man, when she got him back to the beach she studied him closely. He was tall with olive skin, green eyes adn black hair. He was the most gorgeous man that Eleanor had ever met.
The man couldnt remember his name or where he was from, Eleanor brought him home to her cottage by the sea. That night the man explained that he was an alien! Eleanor could sense that he was telling the truth. THe man was psychic and was pre-cognative. He told her he could also be a medium to spirits.
The man did not have a name so Eleanor set out to give him a name, they decided upon: Osiris Kalani
Osiris because of his ability to talk to the dead and Kalani because he came from the sky.
Osiris lived with Eleanor for six months where they grew closer and closer, Osiris proposed marriage and she accepted. No one else knows about his past.

Anna Madeline Robinson met Alexander Charles Gregory at a mutual friend's dinner party. At the end of the dinner party, Alec asks Anna for a date the next day, and she says yes. Alec is a charming, handsome yet serious man. He is very smart, and plans on joining Doctor's without Borders after med school. He has collar length wavy dark hair and beautiful green eyes with dark lashes. He is tall, and athletic, which is something they have in common. After dating for about a year, Alec pops the question to Anna and she accepts. By this time Alec has finished med school, and his schedule has calmed down a bit. The two buy a big old house in the country, with a short commute to NYC.

Life thus far: Kimi was born in Japan to a single mother who died when Kimi was 7. A year after being orphaned Kimi was adopted into a family in the United States. The Austin family consisted of Danny and Jackie with their 3 bilogical children; Jessica (10 years older), Colin (7 years older), Abigail (5 years older); and another adopted daughter; Mei (a year older).
Kimi grew up with her new family and loved them dearly, they paid for a full 4-year college for Kimi at Yale, where her older siblings all attended as well. After graduating high school Kimi went in search of her biological father in Japan, she ended up finding him and becoming close with him, which upsetted her adopted family but they allowed her to continue her relationship with her father, Jin Hakimo.
Kimi is now 23 and in med school in California where she plans to become a pediatrician. She lives in a small apartment alone with a shnodle dog named Yang and tabbycat named Ying. Kimi also loves to read books, swim, write, dance, do gymnastics, and figure skate. Kimi also has a love of language and knows Japanese, English, Spanish, Russian, and French.

Kimi recently meet a a wonderful gutarist and singer that just happened to confess his undieing love on her while they were both attending a St. Patrick's Day party. Conor Aidan O'Flannagan ended up breaking it off with his long-time girl friend in search of Kimi the next day. Luke and I met in English 3 our junior year. We were the two least bored people in the class, and a lot of days we would get carried away in discussions about the books we were reading. He had recently moved to Marin after his parents had divorced. He was from Wyoming and had lived on a ranch, so he knows all about cow-herding and wrangling and the like. He's very outdoorsy, and we got to be friends taking hikes and climbing trees and going to the beach around where we live. We started dating around the end of the first semester junior year. Now we are seniors, and we are very much a couple. He has moved in with my family because his home situation is a bit rocky, and my parents and younger siblings adore him. He's just like another son or brother to them now. He and I have vague plans about getting married someday, but we know we're still young so we haven't decided yet.

Gizette: A burnout living in the apartment next door
Melinda was severly depressed one dark and gloomy Friday evening. She stood on her apartment balcony contemplating life. Her art career was sizzling. The art colleges weren't taking the bait she was dangling in front of her and she didn't have enough money to pay for rent and her landlord was threatening to kick her out. Maybe it would be better to just end my life she thought. No one cares about me and my life is over anyways. Will anyone even miss me when I am gone? She stood up on the balcony and began to lean over when she heard a voice to the left of her.
"There are cooler ways to die, ya know?" The stranger said. He was a fairly tall figure, with shoulder-length brown hair and gleaming hazel eyes. A cigarette was wedged between his middle and fore finger. "Falling from a balcony is so bland. it's kinda popular ya' know, seems like that's everyone's choice in suicide. Me- I'd prefer to stone to death. Me and weed, dying together in harmony."
Melinda calmed down and stepped to the ground. She didn't say a word, so the man began to speak again. "Wanna come in for a drink?" He asked. "Hang out for awhile? Ya seem a little lonely. And I'm lonely too. just been lazin' around all day." He paused for a moment and waited for a response, "So what d'you say?"
Melinda nodded. It couldn't be too bad. The guy was nice enough and had just saved her from death. A drink wouldn't hurt and she was lonely too.
Melinda and Jason (as she found out his name was) hit it off right away. The two had so much in common. He was an artist as well. It just so happened that he was responsible for a lot of the grafiti that decorated the city streets. He was alone too and had no family near him to help support him. And he too, had barely enough money to pay for rent. So the two new friends decided to move in together, just to save the money and preserve themselves from being so lonely.

The alarm clock never went off so when Stella finally awoke she hit the ground running. “Mona, up, up! We’re late!” Mona was off to Nava’s for the day and Stella was off to Gilly‘s Coffee House.
“You’re late!” Stella’s boss’s voice boomed when she opened the door.
“I know! It won’t happen again!” Stella swore as she hurried to tie her apron on and serve the waiting high school students. Since Gilly’s had started making fresh doughnuts in the morning, the nearby university and high school students used them as a morning hang out before school started.
A blonde curly-haired man hurried in with a little girl around Mona‘s age in his arms. “A french vanilla cappuccino and a chocolate milk, please.” he said sitting the little girl down next to him so he could reach for his wallet. The little girl took off to the to the other side of the counter and looked through the glass at the doughnuts, cookies, and brownies. “Jade, come back!” he called as he pulled out his money.
“$5.73” Stella said before looking up into his gorgeous blue eyes. For a moment she was taken back.
“Excuse me?” he asked having not heard the cost of their drinks.
Stella didn’t hear him. She was too far gone in his eyes; they went on forever.
“Excuse me?” he repeated.
Stella blinked and came back to reality. “Uh, um, $5.73.” she repeated shaking her head.
He paid and made his way over to the toddler while waiting for the drinks. Stella had them ready in a flash and was back in front of him. She had to think quickly. “Can she have a doughnut?” Stella asked.
“Eh, I’d rather she not today; she’ll be sticky and -”
Stella was on top of it. “Doughnut hole perhaps? They’re smaller- less mess. I’ll even run get you a wipe to wash her off with afterwards.” Stella said with a smirk.

I've never seen Office Space so i'll justr stick with the office monkey theme. (you don't actually mean a real monkey, chimp, do you? just to be sure) this isnt exactly my "dream family" i just wanted to do something different
Well as you said Nikolai "Niko" an office monkey, we met while we were on a cruise with friends. our two group of friends were thrown together on a vollyball team. they had a little tourny, every team one played one game a day and whoever had the most wins st the end of the week got $100 per person prize. our team hung out alot to get to know each other better so we played better as a team. we all went around saying what our interests were and niko and i both enjoy building things. we talked of the little and big things we built. we quick bacame friends and learned we lived in neighboring towns and knew many of the same places. Niko has a 5 brothers and sisters and was born in Russia but moved here when he was 3, he's fluent in russian and english. he is the baby of the family. most his siblings are married and have children. after getting back from the ruise we went out as just friends and after about 6 mos went went out on an official date and have been since. 2 years to the day we met he proposed, we took the cruise for a second time and he proposed on the spot we first met. we got married at his parents farm and we dont care for dancing much so we had a vollyball game instead:) we bought an old farm and restored the house. we have 50 chickens and a pretty good egg production, i stay at home and take care of the farm, grow fruits and veggies that i sell at a farmers market in town along with eggs and baked goods. i try to bake items from his backround and my own. people seem to like my treats.

Just before the made their big move they were married and are now looking forward to all the opportunities the big city holds for them.
Medium length version:
Tessa and Toby met their freshman year at Boston College when she was contracted to do publicity for the school play. She didn't think much of him, awkward and boring, then, but at her senior show four years later they met again. After an embarrassing introduction, he asked to dinner and she obliged. One dinner led to two, two led to a movie and a movie led to many, many cups of coffee. Before they knew it most of their evenings were spent in each others presence.
As they spent more time together it became obvious that they were meant for each other. Tessa had just earned her degree in photography while Toby had put himself through school by doing modeling. A pre-law major, he had originally wanted to major in theatre or art, but his parents had decided that those were to "frivolous" and that he should do something that he would be able to actually earn money at someday. Being the good son he obeyed, demoting his loves mere hobbies. Still to this day he never goes anywhere with out his trusty Polaroid. His apartment is full of pictures of the most random things, things most people never stop to see the beauty in. As he applied at various law schools Tessa convinced him that perhaps he didn't need to settle down and have a real job, but take sometime to explore what he really loves. And taking a big step of faith, he did.
For the next year Tessa worked freelance, following odd jobs all over the country, sometimes for weeks at a time.

Once he realized that Elisabeth had opposed the appearance of the article in the paper (but her boss overruled her), they went out for coffee during her lunch break. A romance soon flourished between the two of them, and after dating for a year they got married. William is a 28 year old lawyer who enjoys playing golf and watching football. He has dark brown hair and is a foot taller than Elisabeth! He can't wait to start a family with Elisabeth and become a loving father.

Josie met "the one" at a family Fourth of July picnic, which she only attended so she could spend some time with a younger cousin, Gabriel, whom she adores. It turns out that her parents had invited their neighbors and good friends, the Victors, to the picnic. When she bumped into Gaspard Victor, a tall boy with black hair and bright blue eyes, at the cooler, she thought nothing of him; he looked too normal for her tastes and she usually went for older men instead of guys her age. It wasn't until she heard someone referring to him affectionately as "Gassy" that he sparked her interest. The pair ended up talking into night and quickly bonded, even sharing a kiss under the fireworks.
After a year and many crazy activities, the couple announced that they were going to be living together in Josie's apartment (after both agreeing that marriage wasn't for them). Josie's parents were quite embarassed, apologizing to their friends about her "ruining" their son. The Victors, however, were very easy-going about it and approved of the relationship, saying they were glad Josie was injecting some fun, however wild, into their son's life.
Josie is still a dancer at the same club, while Gaspard works at a software company.

A vegan all her life, Sunny holds down a part-time job in an alternative book shop. However, she mostly enjoys travelling around London with the small group Fresh Air (set up by her father's best friend), who go around lecturing various companies on how to keep their business as enviromentaly-friendly as possible. It was while visiting a garage in Camden that she met Lockie. After much persuasion, she agreed to go out with Lockie for a meal.

How did I miss this one? It looks so cool! Here's my thing, I played around with a storyline from one of my favourite tv shows:
Username: MelH
Your first character: Sara Louise Smythe
Appearance: Tall with long straight reddish-brown hair. Brown eyes.
Life thus far: Sara was a rebel as a teen. She spent 3 months in juvie for stealing her father's car and driving to her boyfriends while intoxicated. After prison, Sara was a different person. She decided to make it her mission to help people, so she decided to become a doctor. After she completed her degree, she found a job opening at a local men's high-security prison. The thought of saving saving lives while giving back to the prision system was almost too perfect and she took the job. She treats patients in the sick-ward everyday from 8-5, all the while trying to ward off the affections of the prisoners.

Daniel and Sara met during Sara's internship at the hospital. Daniel had returned from Iraq 3 months earlier after loosing his right arm in combat. It had been particulary hard for him to recover because he used to be right handed. He was required to visit the hospital for check-ups every week and Sara happened to be the doctor who picked up his file. Flirtation followed. They began to run into each other everytime Daniel had a check-up, but due to Daniel's lack of self-confidence it took them months to actually begin dating. But now, 3 years later, they are living together and planning on getting married. Daniel is currently going back to school to become a computer programmer. He secretly hopes of releasing a book of his poems that he wrote during his time in the war.

Rita offered a shoulder to cry on and tea. Some time after they met again, at a christmas party, and then at new years, and then several times again. They moved in together by that summer, and got married a year after that. They are very much in love and are now waiting for someone to grant them kids (i.e. Array).

Wil met Carrie her first day in the city. She was moving into an apartment two floors down (B9, if you're wondering). It was a Saturday and Wil was on his way to see his brother Edward. She looked confused, so he stopped to ask if she needed any help. Without meaning to, Carrie broke down in the hallway. She was totally lost, confused, and didn't have a clue about city life. She was supposed to have been going to a college nearby, but they didn't have enough rooms, so she elected to rent an apartment off-campus. Since she was alone, Wil helped her move her stuff into the apartment, but didn't offer anything else.
A few days later Wil saw Carrie again, just sitting in the hallway. Wil, being curious, didn't stop to ask her why she was sitting in the hallway, but kept an eye on her. The way the apartment building is constructed, those living on higher floors can look down and see those living on lower floors. Two hours later, Carrie hadn't moved, except to pace the floor. Wil decided he might as well see what she was up to. Turns out, Carrie lost her apartment key and the landlord hadn't let her borrow the spare (he was a not-so-nice man). Carrie has a timid personality and doesn't like conflict. She had thought to just give up and go home, but Wil pursuaded her to stay. He confronted the landlord while Carrie had a cup of coffee in his room. The landlord reluctantly gave up Carrie's room key. Wil unlocked her room, then asked the landlord to order another key since Carrie's was lost.

Kaleb George met Mina Grace at his nephews karate tournament. She was in the class of 6th and 7th graders even though she is 27 years old. He thought she looked so cute doing her little spins and kicks and asked her out to dinner. Now a year later they are newly married and very happy.
