the first thing I thought of was the word "baden" which means "to bathe". The second thing would be the federal state of Baden-Württemberg (a part of Germany). At least they're better associations then bad one, but I don't like the name either.

It's the same in Dutch
"to bathe" was my first thought too, after that it's also the plural of "bath" or "pool" and the past tense of (we) "pray". So uhm, 'no' as a name for Baden as far as I'm concerned.
