[Opinions] Indiana WDYT?
Replies
I think it's very cute for a girl.
I think it is adorable for a boy. I find it way to masculine sounding for a girl. It makes me think of Indiana Jones. But that is a good association to me ;)
I'm not a fan of place names for children in general, with the exception of India for a girl. I think Indiana sounds a lot more feminine than masculine though. So if you really want to use it, I'd save it for a girl. Indiana Florence is fine, especially as Florence is a family name. I highly approve of using family names.
If you must use it, a boy would be preferable. Indiana Jones is my only association with this as a name, so it is quite masculine to me.
May I suggest Gary Indiana as a combo? (Sorry. Had to. Anyway...)
Florence is lovely, and Benjamin is nice. Indiana Florence is far too heavy on place names.

I actually really like it - it's kind of a guilty pleasure for me. I personally prefer it for a girl, but then I vastly prefer Benjamin to Florence.
I can't say that I like it very much, but then again, I've never been a big fan of state names for children.
I do like the middle names, though.
