I've started doing Spanish lessons once a week, and our teacher insists that we all use Spanish names. So she translated nearly everyone's names into Spanish. Those who couldn't be translated were given other Spanish names (
Sian was given
Sara).
My name (
Hazel) is one that doesn't have a Spanish name so she says I could be Avellana which she says means Hazelnut. I don't really like it and I keep getting tongue tied when I say it. I think it's pronounced a bit like AH-feh-yan-a, but I may be wrong. :p WDYT?
(Sorry this is getting quite long!!)
Also, today i was in the library and I heard a woman whisper shouting (if you know what I mean) "Blessing, come here right now". I thought poor girl, what a horrible name! EVEN WORSE!! Blessing turned out to be a boy!!!!!!!!!! I think he was African. WDYT?
