1) I would say AH-yah-kah or eye-AH-kah. The former would be more correct, IIRC, but the latter would be easier for most people in the US.
2) Well, given your pronunciation, I'd rather it wasn't
Ayaka. Ayeka would be a better choice. It has some precedence; for the various incarnations of the anime
Tenchi Muyo!, Ayeka was used as the romanization of a character's name to make it easier for audiences to pronounce it (it would normally be Aeka), and I recall that in the dub, her name was pronounced the way you're saying it. However, as a real-life name, I don't know what its history of usage is (as far as Ayeka
or Aeka goes), if there is any. You would do well to ask over on Facts about it--there are some kids who are very well-informed on Japanese names.

Ayaka is a pretty name, but your pronunciation is incorrect. As my sister says, "That's not how Japanese works."
