Charlotte: Cute, but as someone else pointed out to me on this board: It rhymes with harlot. Just what you want kids yelling at her "Harlot Charlotte!"
Anne Marie: Cute, only as a whole name. Unfortunately, it won't stay a whole name as all of her friends will nn her Anne, Marie, AM, Annie, etc. Anything but Anne Marie.
Silver: I hate to say this, but it just looks stupid, especially on a girl.
Avril: Cute, but Mrs. Lavigne-Whibley ruined it for everyone else.
Pandora: As in Pandora's box? Annoying.
Perdita: As in the dog from 101 Dalmations? All of her friends are going to know that.
Phoenix: This is okay, as long as she doesn't have siblings that are also named after cities in Texas.
October: This is not a month that seems to work as a name as well. River: Annoyingly emo to me.
Meadow: Cute, but I can imagine teasing to go something like this: "Meadow has dew on her..get it..dew! haha" Not cool.
Rain: Cute, but reminds me of the feminine hygiene product named Summer Rain.
Lotus: Cute, but I was told that this also is a feminine hygiene product.River: See above.
Brooklyn: I have never been to Brooklyn, but I have been told it is not a pretty place.
Shiloh: Like the dog? I like this name, but could never use it on a child because of that dog!
Caspian: Cute, reminds me of Prince Caspian as well as Casper the friendly ghost.

just to give reference on why I picked the names, I found some of your answers, interesting!
Charlotte: true, but Scarlet also rhymes with harlot. the connection doesn't faze me at all.
Anne Marie: sad but true probably. However, I can't stop people from giving her a nn, she will always be Anne Marie to me :)
Perdita: that's exactly where I got it, from on old fave novel of mine
Phoenix: is named after the mythical bird, not the city :)
Rain: never heard of the product
Lotus: never heard of the productRiver: hehe, it's in reference to the Holy Spirit.
Brooklyn: actually it's not after the place, but a longer form of Brook. I wanted to use Brook, but people thought it was too girly. So I opt for Brooklyn.
Shiloh: it's in reference to Jesus Christ. However, I did start liking it because of the dog, when I saw the movie along time ago.
Indiana: the state
Michelangelo: yup that's what he's names after, both refeences.

My Opinions:Charlotte - Very pretty, very royal.
Anne Marie - It makes me think of French royalty, which is good, but I prefer Annemarie.
Silver - Ugh. This is the kind of name you might get if you asked a 7-year-old to name a kid.
Avril - No way. Nmsaa.
Pandora - I actually kinda like this. "-ora" names appeal to me. I think it's more of a gp though.
Perdita - I really like this too! Too bad there's such a strong "101 Dalmations" connection.
Phoenix - This is more of a boy's name for me, and it's still too trendy for me even then.
October - I've really liked this name ever since I read of a book character with this name. October is a nice month, too.
River - See Phoenix.
Meadow - This is the kind of name I would've given one of my My Little Ponies when I was a kid.
Rain - Nmsaa.
Lotus - I like this. It makes me think of Asia.River - Ugh. A trendy, hippie name. It's destined to become outdated.
Brooklyn - This is a girl's name, and I doubt anyone who's been to Brooklyn would name a child for the place.
Shiloh - Trendy Biblical name. Not my favorite category.
Caspian - Meh.
Norman - Too nerdy. Don't name a kid this.
Romeo - Too reminiscient of "Romeo and Juliet". Don't name a kid this.
Indigo - Again, hippy names are nms.
Journey - See Indigo.
Cruz - I love this for a boy.
Indiana - It's okay. I like the nn Indy, though.
Schuyler - I think Skyler is a cleaner spelling. I actually like this.
Michelangelo - It's kinda cool, I like the historical reference, but I like Raphael better.

Thanks for your opinions here are a few reasons why I'd name the kids what I listed:I ama hippie at heart in a sense so most of the names I like are nature-related (Rain, Indigom etc), as I love nature a lot. It's just how I am as a person my names reflect my lifestyle.Perdita - I got this from the actual real novel "101 Dalmations" so I intended it to come from there :).River - this is in reference to the Holy Spirit, which is from my religion/faith so it's not for a the nature thing really, but more spiritual.Brooklyn - I liked Brook for a boy, but everyone tols me it was girly so I opt for Brooklyn. It's not after the place though.Shiloh - again it's in reference to my Saviour, so that's why I chose it.Norman - I hold a special place in my heart for this, yes it's nerdy, but so are a lot of other names :). It's for my aunt Norma, I liked Norman a lot.

I think it's nice that you have personal reasons for liking the names that you do. That doesn't change the fact that I don't like these names(except for Perdita).
I'll say it again: Brooklyn is really a girl's name. Why not use Brooks for a boy?

Sabrina wasn't trying to change your opinions, and it almost sounds as if you're saying that she needs your approval to use any of the names she loves. Anyways, Brook and Lyn were origionally boys names, so there is no reason Brooklyn shouldn't be used on a boy. Just because it's listed on BtN as being feminine, and it's usage is mainly feminine, doesn't mean that it must be confined to only girls. What about the over-usage of Madison, Evan, Ryan, and Taylor on girls? Are they not boys names?

because [m]someone in my family has a son (or will soon) named Brooks. I never found it's appeal as a full FN. I like it as a nn only, I do plan on calling Brooklyn, Brooks or Brook as a nn.ETA: my sister as well hates it on a boy, but oh well. I think it's because she likes Brooke for a girl.I used to love it on a girl only, until it because overly popular on a girl. It's rarely used for boys, which IMO makes it nicer.I admit it does sound slightly feminine, however both Brook, and Lynn were originally male so it doesn't bother me. I have masculine names I'd use for my daugthers (ex: Bryce), so I don't think Brooklyn would be to bad off having a more feminine name.I wasn't trying to change your opinions, I was just giving insight on my I chose them.
