I would say I usually pronounce it a-MEE-lee-a, but I sometimes call Amelia a-MEEL-ya in fast speech. I prefer the a-MEE-lee-a pronounciation and I believe that is the usual pronounciation in Australia.
I love the name. It's a family name for me. My cousin and I both share the name after the same person. I definately would love to use it one day, although it's become unbelievably popular in the last decade (in Australia at least).
