There was a rather bleaty pop song in the sixties which moaned: Cor-REEN, Cor-REEN-a for days and then went away.Only one I've ever known was a Cor-EEN. And I always say Cor-EEN-a in the Robert Herrick poem, probably because EEN sounds wheedling and RIN sounds brisk and businesslike, though conventional wisdom has it that he would have said: Cor-RIN-a.
