Aeolic and Doric Greek form of Xenokleides, because it contains ίδας (idas), which is the Aeolic and Doric Greek form of the patronymic suffix ἴδης (ides).This was the name of a Corinthian commander who participated in the Peloponnesian War (431–404 BC). He is better known under the latinized forms of his name, including those of its Attic Greek form Xenokleides.
